Lagniappe Al Fresco in October Well, who would've thought the band would play outside on October 30th? But it was in the 70's and breezy. Unbeknownst to the rest of us, it was New Orleans To Go's Three Year Anniversary! I had some fabulous fried fish and red beans & rice.
The Quartet version of Lagniappe was extra fantabulouso tonight, and one couple even danced so it was romantical as well. I took way too many pictures and will commence to make a slideshow in the next day or two. Until then, here are a few pictures. (Click on the photos to see full sized)
Crowd getting ready to second line to "Second Line" and it started to rain a bit.
Here the wind was quite gusty as the rains came. No second lining to Northland Blvd tonight.
I don't know what this expression was about except I was feeling rain on my back as I took this photo and I think the trombone player, John, was as well (that's who Chico is giving the surprised glance to) and with the wind the entire band felt mist at one point, but it was quitting time by then.
The Lagniappe Dancers!
Strolling inside to the diners.
I have NO idea how I captured this look on Chico's face (without glasses I am legally blind, as are many peeps, so I count on the auto focus of my NikonD40 to tell me when I can snap. Thus I have no idea what I truly capture until it's on my computer screen.)
If Chico won the lottery, could he look any happier? Course the odds of actually winning the lottery are the same if you buy a ticket or you do not....but i digress!

P.S. You tube slideshow here. Please excuse the slight bit of buzz after the end credits. Had to reload video, better but still there. Song clips are "La Valse de Belizaire" and "Fidgety Feet"
