2009 Election Night Photo's From Arnold's

So I'm a little late as this 2010. But you see, ya never know who you're going to meet on Twitter. One of my new fave tweeps @QueenCityDisco said he enjoyed Lagniappe's music at a party, and I had no clue what I missed! , so I asked him "Which party?" Seems it was at Arnold's on election night. These are the photographs of the band & Arnold's from that night. Though I just now found out, it's been a slow month. I enjoy his pictures, blog, his causes, and he just happens to have an ongoing art show on "Forgotten Cincinnati" (see link below) And he enjoys Lagniappe.

Thank you, Gordon Bombay @QueenCityDisco. If you see the band during Mardi Gras, please say hello & introduce yourself. :-D ~Sophia

P.S. Folks, check out Gordon's blog. You might just learn a few things about the past & present in Cincinnati. Follow on Twitter if interested where he's @QueenCityDisco

Lagniappe Singing about the "Saints"

Here's a lame attempt to record a very home made video clip of Lagniappe (the Quartet version) singing "When the Saints Go Marching In." In lieu of it being the Saints first time headed to the SuperBowl, and this is a blog of a band playing New Orleans music, I thought I'd post this old youtube clip here. No doubt to the chagrin of the band.

This flip camera is the size of a deck of cards and has a microphone smaller than a Tic Tac. This AIN'T stereo, 'k? The lady holding it had shaky hands, so you may get dizzy. But, it's a slow month, and the song also fits in with the upcoming Mardi Gras season as well. It's about the spirit, y'all. Go Saints!

p.s. I was trying to walk-hand zoom in to get Yvan on the drums doing his 'Louis impersonation' but almost knocked over Johnny's piano. Ok that's not true . . . :-D

Almost Mardi Gras Season!
There will be gigs around town and in Rabbit Hash, Ky. At Findlay Market will be the annual crowning of the King & Queen and the picture here is from 2007.
New schedule will be updated in a few days.

This 2007 Findlay Market morning started out bloody freezing cold but the music soon warmed things up!

Lagniappe may be "Second lining" to a place near you. Stay tuned!~~Sophia
