Lagniappe's Bockfest Schedule Alert!---->

Check Side-bar for Bockfest beginning at Arnold's Friday night. That's followed by marathon day Saturday. Don't forget to follow the band on Twitter for latest updates (Provided Twitter's behaving . . .if you use it, ya know what I'm talking about :) )

Saturday Night Live at Dilly Cafe

Well, I finally made it to the Dilly Deli Cafe, famous for it's wine shop, beer selections and great food. It did not disappoint. I was warmly greeted by Chuck who had had a hectic Saturday and busy evening, yet found time to stop by to help me decide what to get and check on how the dinner was going. I was in a party of three and all loved their food. The band was great though missing two regulars. However, I love the Lagniappe quartet version and they never disappoint. They even had a guest singer sit in for an old gospel tune. She was fantastic and the band never missed a beat on "I'll fly away." Sorry, I didn't get her name but she's in this photo.
We hope to check out the courtyard when the weather is nice and before it get's too hot. Last year, Yvan & other band members told me the courtyard is also very nice but I don't do heat well. Hopefully I'll get lucky with one cool evening in which to capture the band outside.

If you need wine or beer, Dilly is a candy store for adult beverages.
The band is gearing up for another marathon weekend with Bockfest. Check out the side bar for the schedule on your right ---->

Saturday it's the Dilly Deli Cafe!

Ok, some of us have never been to the Dilly Deli Cafe but it gets raves reviews online and by fellow Twitter folks. Known for great food, fabulous wine/beer selections (And apparently Belgian beers rock say the Twitterverse!) this combo plus three hours of Lagniappe should make for a fun evening. You may want to call ahead to reserve dinner seats in the dining area as this is where the band plays. (513) 561-5233

Mardi Gras at Charlie's Throttle Stop

Ok, I could not let Mardi-Gras week leave without a slideshow. Sorry the Band pictures were not better but sometimes ya gotta go with what you've got! Place was fun, few danced on the dance floor, girls were a blast, and they did not let a quiet afternoon ruin anybody from having a good time. Thanks, to Charlie & the girls.~~Sophia

Last chance to have a Mardi Gras party! However, to some of us, Lagniappe is a taste of Mardi Gras every gig. Or so some bar tabs could reflect. :) Just kidding!

Mardi Gras at Charlie's Throttle Stop

The girls on the bar seem to be saying "Welcome to Charlie's Throttle Stop!"
Well, it was a big day for the band (with 3 gigs starting at Findlay Market at 10:30AM & ending at Leo's Coffeehouse. Charlie's Throttle Stop being the midday 3.5 hr gig) It was a small crowd at Charlie's Throttle Stop, in Fairfield, but a fun & friendly crowd.

The girls working there were dancing on the floor, on the bar and getting into the spirit of Mardi Gras. I've always thought "Tin Roof Blues" was a great old sultry tune. These pics prove it as the girls danced in their boas. :) They were even serving drinks directly from the bar. Also, for those who smoke, there is a huge closed in deck with heaters and a nice view.

Oh, and I got to meet my first fellow Twitterer, axerickson. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Next stop Arnold's for Fat Tuesday! Wear your snowshoes!

Bootleg Tape Time Again "Iko Iko" Style

Lagniappe, the quartet version, playing "Iko Iko". Pay no heed to the fact that Chico forgot the lyrics to a very easy to remember song *shrugs, video made him nervous?? -- nor pay any attention to the dame behind the curtain (with the shaky hands causing "Blair Witch Project" style recording)

Taped this thing on her Tic Tac camera. Hard to hold a cam to this song & not want to dance. Then she steps in front of the monitor & things get distorted on the audio but hey, it's the spirit that counts ....Though if the band sees this, might be a cease & desist order! Hope to see you this weekend at the Barn Dance Saturday in Rabbit Hash or one of the Sunday Marathon sessions. :-) Sunday begins at Findlay Market to crown the King & Queen!
